Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Project Accountant to join our team at Axon Moore Group Ltd. As a key member of our Group Finance team, you will work closely with senior operational staff and stakeholders to ensure accurate financial reporting and analysis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting: Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including income and costs recognition, accrued and deferred income and costs capture, and variance analysis of actual versus budget/forecast.
  • Financial Analysis: Provide relevant financial analysis on the profitability and efficiency of our business units, including commentary on the financial results each period.
  • Inventory Management: Ensure accurate and timely booking of materials in and out of inventory to ensure accurate costs on a project-by-project basis.
  • Balance Sheet Preparation: Prepare relevant balance sheets and ensure robust reconciliations and support for the external audit.
  • Budgeting and Forecasting: Work with the Directors to support the preparation of budgets and forecasts for all projects, ensuring the operational team has a full understanding of financial expectations.
  • Stock Management: Ensure periodic stock counts are carried out and analyze any stock write-offs.
Requirements:
  • Finalist or fully qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) - Essential
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles and their appropriate application - Essential
  • Project/construction accounting experience - Desirable
  • Highly credible and able to quickly build effective working relationships - Essential
  • Analytical, accurate, and detailed - Essential
