Message from the Chief Officer

On behalf of Midlothian and East Lothian Health and Social Care Partnerships, I would like to express our gratitude for your interest in the Chief Financial Officer position for Midlothian and East Lothian Integration Joint Boards.

NHS Lothian collaborates with Midlothian and East Lothian Council colleagues, sharing a mission and vision to deliver and support innovation in providing high-quality Health and Social Care Services for local authority residents.

Chief Financial Officer Responsibilities

This unique position provides direct support to the Joint Integration Boards for Midlothian and East Lothian. You will have lead responsibility for the strategic financial management of the total allocated budgets, providing advice and support to ensure the delivery of the IJBs' directions for service provision and performance reporting.

You will be an effective communicator, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships. A crucial component of this role is balancing the needs of the IJB with those of the Council and Health Board and their directors of finance. As such, you will be meticulous in your approach, with strong negotiation and influencing skills, with the ability to motivate and enthuse colleagues, partners, and stakeholders.
