About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and qualified finance professional to join our team as Chief Finance Officer (also known as 'Treasurer').

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a small team of finance professionals.
  • Bring a strategic approach to the financial management of the Church.
  • Support the Church at local, regional, and national levels.
Requirements
  • Experience in a senior finance role, preferably in a public or third sector organization.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.

The General Synod Office of the Scottish Episcopal Church is a leading organization in Scotland, with a strong presence across the nation. We are a diverse and inclusive employer, welcoming applications from people of all backgrounds.

What We Offer
  • A competitive salary of £62,000 (rising to £67K with annual increments).
  • A non-contributory defined pension scheme.
  • 28 days of annual leave, plus seven statutory holidays.
Working Arrangements

This is a full-time role (35 hours per week), with the option to work a four-day week with adjusted pay and holidays. Our office is located in Edinburgh, easily accessible via public transport.
