This newly created Senior IT Operations Specialist vacancy is a fantastic opportunity to work for a growing business as their first dedicated IT employee.

Working closely with their IT support company, you'll have responsibility for:

  • Overseeing the day-to-day IT operations
  • Optimising IT infrastructure
  • Maintaining relationships with IT vendors and service providers
  • Ensuring Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met
  • Evaluating innovative technologies and solutions to enhance IT capabilities
  • Developing, implementing, and refining IT processes to improve operational efficiency
  • Establishing and implementing policies, procedures, and standards in a controlled environment
  • Assessing current processes and identifying areas for improvement and automation
  • Supporting the implementation of robust security measures
  • Ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards

We're looking for someone who has an in-depth working knowledge of IT infrastructure, security, and compliance practices, along with extensive experience in Microsoft 365 (including SharePoint and Viva), Windows Server, and Microsoft Azure. Experience with project methodologies, cyber security, and data protection is important.

This isn't a helpdesk/support role; these responsibilities would remain with the IT support company, so we're looking to hear from individuals who like the operational side of an IT role but equally have the relevant IT skills, knowledge, and expertise to utilize when needed internally.
