Domestic Abuse Caseworker Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Domestic Abuse Caseworker to join our team in Cardiff City Center. As a key member of our team, you will provide vital support to women affected by domestic abuse, working closely with external agencies to ensure they receive the help they need.

About the Role:

  • Provide individually tailored support packages to women affected by domestic abuse
  • Work flexibly Monday to Friday, 09:00-19:00, and participate in an on-call service
  • Support women in crisis, providing immediate intervention and signposting to relevant agencies
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies, ensuring seamless support for service users
  • Contribute to the development of the service, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes

Requirements:

  • Hold a SafeLives IDVA training certificate or equivalent experience
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle essential
  • Understanding of domestic violence and abuse, including impact on victims and children
  • Experience in engaging with external agencies and crisis management
  • Excellent IT and communication skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team
