As a Refuge Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing a safe and supportive environment for our service users, helping them to rebuild their lives and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide individualized support and guidance to women and children who have experienced domestic abuse
  • Assess and prioritize the needs of service users, developing and implementing tailored support plans
  • Work collaboratively with external agencies to ensure comprehensive support and advocacy for service users
  • Deliver specialist support services, including crisis intervention, safety planning, and empowerment
  • Manage a caseload, ensuring accurate and timely records are maintained
Requirements:
  • Hold a SafeLives IDVA training certificate or equivalent experience
  • Driving license and access to own vehicle
  • Understanding of domestic violence and abuse, including impact on victims and children
  • Experience in engaging with external agencies
  • Strong crisis management skills and excellent IT and communication skills
