Key Responsibilities- Initial Contact and Assessment: Be the first point of contact for service users, providing a warm and welcoming environment to discuss their needs and concerns.
- Risk Assessment and Support: Identify and assess the risks and needs of service users, providing tailored support packages to ensure their safety and well-being.
- Crisis Intervention and Support: Provide immediate crisis intervention and support to service users, working closely with external agencies to ensure their needs are met.
- Reporting and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate and detailed records of service user interactions, ensuring the CRM is up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Signposting and Referral: Signpost and refer service users to relevant agencies, such as social services, the police, and housing services, to ensure they receive the support they need.
- Training and Development: Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices in domestic abuse support.
- Qualifications and Experience: Hold a SafeLives IDVA training certificate, or a relevant degree, or demonstrable equivalent experience or a vocational qualification.
- Driving License and Vehicle: Possess a valid driving license and have access to a reliable vehicle for travel to service user locations.
- Knowledge and Skills: Have a thorough understanding of domestic violence and abuse, including its impact on victims and their children, as well as child protection issues and safeguarding practices.
- Communication and IT Skills: Possess excellent communication and IT skills, with the ability to work effectively with service users, external agencies, and colleagues.
- Teamwork and Flexibility: Be able to work collaboratively as part of a team, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
- Competitive Salary: £24,800 per annum, plus benefits.
