About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Assistant Cook to join our team at Blueberry Nursery School in Hove. As an Assistant Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing nutritious meals for our children, ensuring their safety and well-being, and maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook nutritious meals for children with specific dietary needs
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including COSHH and Ofsted guidelines
  • Maintain stock levels and ensure stock rotation
  • Deputise for the Cook in their absence
  • Instill Storal values in food and hygiene practices

About You:

We are looking for an individual with a Level 2 Food and Hygiene qualification, a minimum of 6 months' experience in a similar role, and a strong understanding of health and safety regulations and COSHH. You should be able to reflect the Storal values of responsibility, openness, and working together.
