Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to join our team at the Medical Research Council. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Division, ensuring the smooth operation of our office and providing excellent customer service to our stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and manage routine office administration, including managing schedules, preparing reports, and maintaining accurate records.
  • Provide administrative support to the Division, including responding to emails, making travel arrangements, and preparing meeting materials.
  • Develop and implement efficient administrative processes and procedures to improve productivity and reduce errors.
  • Collaborate with other teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Perform other administrative tasks as required.
Requirements
  • 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including minimum Grade C in Mathematics and English.
  • Some administrative experience, preferably in a busy office or laboratory environment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide high-quality administrative services.
  • Proficiency in standard office packages, including Microsoft Office and online ordering systems.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a proactive and flexible attitude.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Formal Microsoft Office training or IT qualification.
  • Experience of using Adobe Creative Suite and Customer Relationship Management systems.
  • Experience of sharing and developing new ideas to improve administrative processes.

  • Ability to interact with multiple teams in an organized and diligent manner.
