Devon County Council is seeking a Facilities Operations Manager who can:

Ensure outstanding Health & Safety, Facilities Management, and Site Oversight across various locations
You will oversee the Facilities Management, upkeep, and operational needs of a primary site while providing support at an additional local facility on a scheduled basis.

Engage proactively with maintenance challenges
Acting as the primary contact for all maintenance-related concerns, you will need to possess practical skills in DIY and general upkeep.

Collaborate effectively with a dedicated team
Reporting directly to the Estates Manager, you will be an integral part of a small, enthusiastic Estates team focused on fostering exceptional learning environments in our primary educational institutions.

Uphold safety and compliance standards in our facilities
Your main responsibilities will be based at a designated primary school, where you will manage the site, ensuring all compliance, maintenance, and risk assessments are conducted. Additionally, you will carry out operational duties at other locations as required.

Demonstrate leadership and initiative
We are looking for a solution-oriented, values-driven individual who can communicate effectively with contractors and staff. A hands-on approach to maintenance tasks and a clear understanding of the necessary compliance regulations are essential.
