Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Site Manager to join our team at Devon County Council. As a key member of our facilities team, you will be responsible for maintaining our schools to ensure a clean, safe, and secure learning environment for our pupils and the local community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and maintain school facilities, including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and health and safety tasks.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize resource allocation.
  • Collaborate with teachers, staff, and other stakeholders to identify and address facility-related issues.
  • Provide guidance and support to colleagues on facility-related matters.

Requirements:

  • Relevant trade qualification or experience in site management and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Flexibility to work on a split shift basis.
