About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Specialist to join our team at Randstad Enterprise. As an Employee Relations Specialist, you will play a critical role in providing advice and support to line managers, associates, and P&O Business Partners on a range of Employee Relations issues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide guidance and support to line managers and associates on Employee Relations matters, including performance improvement, conduct issues, grievances, sickness absence, and flexible working requests.
  • Conduct thorough and objective investigations into Employee Relations issues, ensuring compliance with company policies, the Associate Concept, and legislative requirements.
  • Partner with line managers to develop and implement performance improvement plans and provide coaching on performance management.
  • Provide interpretation of Employee Relations policies and processes to line managers and Business Partners, making recommendations for policy enhancements and updates as needed.
  • Engage with the Associate Relations Manager and Lead on complex, high-risk situations, ensuring effective case management and resolution.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and follow-up on Employee Relations cases.
  • Work collaboratively with the Associate Relations Manager to manage case volumes, identify trends, and initiate process improvements.
  • Contribute to the development of AR Capability programs for line managers and P&O Business Partners, focusing on effective people management and conflict resolution.
  • Support the Associate Relations Manager on organizational change initiatives, including restructuring, business transfers, and changes to terms and conditions of employment.
  • Identify and partner on AR trends and best practices, contributing to the development of the AR Strategy and UK/Ireland Priority set.
  • Assist with Data Subject Access Requests (DSARs) and partner with internal legal counsel, FeDs, and Data Privacy teams as required.
  • Collaborate with Legal Counsel on employment issues, ensuring compliance with company policies and legislative requirements.
Requirements
  • Significant experience working in Employee Relations, ideally with a CIPD qualification and degree-level education.
  • Strong communication, written, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong understanding of UK employment law and ability to manage internal and external resources to mitigate risks to the business and reputation.
  • Ability to handle and maintain confidential and sensitive information, with strong consultancy and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong conflict management skills, with the ability to work independently and own discrete areas of responsibility.
  • Solid experience in case management, including the use and development of case management and reporting systems.
  • Confident in P&O data analytics and insight generation, with a customer mindset and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to build trust and interface effectively with all levels of associates and line managers.
  • Experience of coaching managers on performance and conduct matters, with the ability to handle and prioritize a high case load.
