Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Support Worker to join our team at UKCIL. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing support to a young boy with Autism, social and communication difficulties, sensory processing, and severe learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care support to the young boy, including toileting, dressing, and assistance with feeding.
  • Accompany the young boy to local community activities, such as parks and walks, and ensure his safety at all times.
  • Develop and implement strategies to support the young boy's independence and social skills.
  • Work closely with the young boy's family and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive support package.
  • Provide emotional support and stability to the young boy, ensuring a consistent and predictable routine.

Requirements

  • Experience of working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Knowledge and understanding of SEN, including thinking, understanding, and learning difficulties, emotional and behavioural difficulties, speech, language, and communication difficulties, sensory and/or physical difficulties.
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of the young boy.
  • Full UK driving license and own personal car.
