Job Title: Support Worker for Young Person with Autism

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team and provide support to a young person with Autism in the Pudsey area of Leeds.

About the Role:

The successful candidate will work with the young person to access community activities and develop their independence. This will involve supporting with personal care needs, such as toileting, dressing, and feeding, as well as accompanying them to local parks and walks.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN) and will have knowledge of strategies to support individuals with Autism, sensory processing difficulties, and learning disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support the young person with personal care needs, including toileting, dressing, and feeding
  • Accompany the young person to community activities, such as local parks and walks
  • Develop and implement strategies to support the young person's independence
  • Work collaboratively with the young person's family and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to support
Requirements:
  • Experience working with children and young people with SEN
  • Knowledge of strategies to support individuals with Autism, sensory processing difficulties, and learning disabilities
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends
  • Full UK driving license and own vehicle
