We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team and provide support to a young person with Autism in the Pudsey area of Leeds.
About the Role:The successful candidate will work closely with the young person, Nathan, to support him in accessing community activities and developing his independence. This will involve providing personal care, such as toileting, dressing, and assistance with feeding, as well as supporting Nathan in his daily routine.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide personal care and support to Nathan, including toileting, dressing, and assistance with feeding
- Support Nathan in accessing community activities, such as local parks and walks
- Develop and implement strategies to support Nathan's independence and social skills
- Work closely with Nathan's family and other professionals to ensure a consistent and supportive approach
We are looking for a Support Worker who has experience of working with children and young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN). You will need to have a good understanding of Autism and the challenges that it presents, as well as the ability to work flexibly and think creatively.
You will also need to have a full UK driving license and access to a personal vehicle, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
