About the Role

The Hire Controller plays a vital part in the operations of Speedy Hire Plc, a leading provider of hire equipment and services. This role is based in the depot and involves coordinating the entire hire process, from taking orders to delivery and collection, ensuring customer satisfaction and needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service: Build strong relationships with customers, ensuring their needs are met and they are satisfied with our service.
  • Hire Process Coordination: Coordinate the entire hire process, from taking orders to delivery and collection.
  • Team Support: Support the business unit/team to deliver the company's ESG Strategy.
  • Operational Efficiency: Ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness in the depot.
Requirements
  • Strong Organisational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Strong Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing situations and priorities.
  • Commitment to Learn and Develop: Commitment to ongoing learning and development.
  • Driving License: Possession of a valid driving license.
  • Previous Experience: Previous experience working in the hire industry or a similar sales or operational role.
