The Role
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for a range of administrative and clerical duties, including:
- Processing a wide range of documents and information received from various sources, including reconciling records to ensure accuracy of data and the system.
- Building relationships with stakeholders, customers, and suppliers, and exchanging information.
- Coordinating shipping arrangements with freight forwarders using all modes of transport.
- Creating, controlling, and issuing shipping instructions to our supply chain.
- Working in a systematic, logical, and structured approach to ensure full visibility of shipping status for each activity.
Key Responsibilities
As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for:
- Undertaking a range of clerical and administrative duties within a department to ensure the smooth running of the department.
- Processing a wide range of documents and information received from various sources, including reconciling records to ensure accuracy of data and the system.
- Building relationships with stakeholders, customers, and suppliers, and exchanging information.
- Coordinating shipping arrangements with freight forwarders using all modes of transport.
- Creating, controlling, and issuing shipping instructions to our supply chain.
- Working in a systematic, logical, and structured approach to ensure full visibility of shipping status for each activity.
Requirements
To be successful as a Logistics Coordinator, you will need:
- A good understanding of systems, processes, and procedures, and their importance within the general operation of a department.
- Time-served experience in a clerical or logistics environment.
- The ability to work independently, understand priorities and deadlines within the department or area, and personally commit to work originators' delivery times and prioritize own workload to meet deadlines.
