Refresco Beverages, a leading global independent beverage solutions provider, is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Process Engineering Manager to join our team in Bridgwater, Somerset.

As part of the Refresco Group, with 78 manufacturing sites across Europe, North America, and Australia, we work with major UK supermarkets and well-known branded drinks producers. Our state-of-the-art facility in Bridgwater specializes in dairy and plant-based drink production.

About the Role:

In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for driving engineering excellence and development within our white liquid processing operations. You will lead a team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and quality.

  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance equipment reliability and performance across all plant systems, including UHT Plant, Pasteurisation, Homogenising, Separating, HS Mixers, and Aseptic Valve matrices.
  • Provide technical expertise and support for day-to-day operations, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring timely completion of repairs and upgrades.
  • Champion a robust preventative maintenance program to optimize plant output while maintaining compliance with industry standards.
  • Lead the execution of engineering improvements aimed at reducing costs and increasing productivity.
  • Cultivate a skilled and engaged engineering team through training, development, and succession planning.

Your Expertise:

We are seeking an individual with a proven track record in liquid processing, particularly within the white liquid sector. You will possess a deep understanding of compliance and legislation related to consumable liquid products.

  • Demonstrated experience in introducing maintenance excellence practices into a processing plant environment.
  • Strong engineering reliability and process expertise, with a focus on UHT Plant, Pasteurisation, Homogenising, Separating, HS Mixers, and Aseptic Valve matrices.
  • Working knowledge of Tetra and Manzini Processing Plants is highly desirable.
  • A background in dairy science or a related field would be advantageous.
