About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Process Engineering Manager to join our team at Refresco, a leading independent beverage solutions provider. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for driving our engineering excellence and development of our white liquid processing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a work environment that fosters continuous improvement, promotes trust, and strengthens teamwork, while ensuring safety and quality.
  • Lead the reliability and improvement programs for all plant equipment, including UHT Plant, Pasteurisation, Homogenising, Separating, HS Mixers, and Aseptic Valve matrices.
  • Support the day-to-day operations of the engineering and maintenance departments.
  • Deliver a robust PM package to optimize plant output while maintaining compliance.
  • Lead the execution of all technical troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Monitor and ensure timely completion of all plant technical repairs and upgrades.
  • Drive engineering improvements to reduce costs and increase productivity.
  • Support business strategy development, including skills and training, organization, and growth.
  • Reduce reliance on OEM support by growing internal competencies.
  • Build a strategy for future training, recruitment, and retention of engineering team members.
  • Improve overall reliability of lines, with a special focus on APET.
  • Implement behavioral safety deployment.
Deliver the Engineering Pillars
  • Autonomous Maintenance (AM) - Improve operator maintenance through basic equipment care to halt deterioration and stabilize equipment.
  • Focused Improvement (FI) - Drive team-focused uptime and operational equipment effectiveness through strategic improvement on underperforming equipment with known and unknown losses.
  • Professional Maintenance (PM) - Improve planned maintenance with service contract suppliers and internal engineers to optimize equipment life and maintenance costs as volume changes over time.
  • Early Equipment Management (EEM) - Create smarter and successful new equipment/automation start-ups by improving reliability and flow with early design/layout support for new assets.
  • Training and Education (TE) - Facilitate employee maintenance-related training using Single Point Lessons (SPL) and standard work tools.
About You

To be successful as a Process Engineering Manager at Refresco, you will need to have a strong background in liquid processing of consumable products, preferably with experience in white liquids. You should be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of compliance and legislation for consumable liquid products.

You will need to be both strategic and hands-on, with a strong engineering reliability and process experience. Knowledge of UHT Plant, Pasteurisation, Homogenising, Separating, HS Mixers, and Aseptic Valve matrices is essential. Ideally, you will have studied dairy science or a similar field.
