Vulcain Engineering - UK is seeking a highly skilled Project Manager to join our Technical Communities in the South West of England. As a Project Manager, you will play a critical role in delivering engineering consultancy services to our clients across multiple industry sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Project Delivery: Ensure the successful delivery of engineering, procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning activities for the life cycle of the contract or work package, in accordance with the overall project schedule.
- Scope Definition: Define the work scope to be delivered within the contract or package of work and the interfaces to other elements of the programme.
- Deliverables: Ensure the List of Deliverables (LOD) relating to the scope of work is delivered.
- Project Management: Drive the delivery of contract or package activities to ensure they are delivered safely, on time, to budget, meeting business and technical requirements.
- Progress Monitoring: Monitor and manage the progress of the programme, tracking progress against milestones, deadlines, budget, and providing key stakeholders with reports on these matters.
- Continuous Improvement: Apply the principles of Continuous Improvement.
- Project Planning: Develop, manage, and update project and programme plans, including full costing, development of Work Breakdown Structures (WBSs), resource management, cost management of risk, and critical path review, using appropriate software and tools.
- Change Management: Manage the change control as the project/programme scope changes, using the correct processes and updating the necessary configuration documentation.
- Project Control Methodologies: Understand project control methodologies and processes for programme and project management.
- Earned Value Management: Apply the principles of Earned Value Management (EVM).
- Qualifications: Degree/HND in Civils, Building, or M&E related fields.
- Professional Qualifications: Preferably chartered (CIOB, ICE, IET, CIBSE, etc).
- Project Management Experience: PM Qualification or proven experience of operating within recognised PM delivery methodology.
- Project Management Experience: Proven experience of managing construction/manufacturing related projects.
- Contract Management: Experience of managing NEC and/or FIDIC contracts.
- Management Skills: Able to demonstrate strong management skills, including financial, risk, change, engineering, and schedule.
- Regulatory Knowledge: Appreciation of Safety, Environmental, and Quality requirements in a highly regulated environment.
