Key Responsibilities

In the role of Process Technician, you will play a vital part in the upkeep of the sewerage infrastructure, treatment of foul and surface water, and monitoring of environmental nuisances. Your duties will include essential inspections, testing, calibration, and verification of various monitoring assets.

Your primary responsibilities will encompass:

  • Overseeing maintenance schedules, evaluating and prioritizing necessary repairs, and executing immediate repairs alongside routine tasks.
  • Offering technical guidance to other departments regarding treatment and monitoring equipment.
  • Compiling reports for the Lead Technician and management concerning asset conditions.
  • Managing the operation and upkeep of the Environmental Nuisance Monitoring network.
  • Supporting the operation and maintenance of water management zones, including chemical dosing units and monitoring systems.
  • Driving enhancements in processes related to water treatment and environmental oversight.
  • Conducting mechanical diagnostics and repairs on all assets under the purview of the Process Technician.
Qualifications

To excel in this position, you will need:

  • NVQ Level 2 in sewerage operations or a CABWI Level 2 Diploma, or be in the process of obtaining it.
  • A foundational understanding of biological treatment processes, monitoring techniques, and the associated assets (such as pumps and monitoring systems).
  • Relevant qualifications and/or experience in Environmental Monitoring.
  • Familiarity with environmental regulations and permitting processes.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications.
  • Desirable knowledge of engineering principles, mechanical systems, electrical systems, and telemetry applications.
