Position Overview:

The Property Management Surveyor will collaborate closely with the Manager, utilizing their expertise in landlord and tenant regulations to ensure effective management of the Council's property portfolio. This role involves conducting property negotiations to finalize terms, instructing legal teams, and ensuring the successful execution of tenancy agreements while fostering strong ongoing relationships to support corporate objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

- Manage a designated caseload in alignment with the Manager's directives, supported by the Senior/Principal Surveyor.
- Conduct negotiations for rent reviews and calculations.
- Oversee lease and license agreements, including assignments and alterations.
- Facilitate easements, wayleaves, and other estate management negotiations from initiation to completion.

Essential Experience:

- Proficient in property inspections, including fundamental building pathology.
- Extensive experience in landlord and tenant matters, encompassing lease renewals, rent reviews, and assignments.
- Familiarity with lettings, licenses for alterations, and changes of use, as well as land acquisition and disposal.

Qualifications:

- A solid educational background with evidence of ongoing professional development in property surveying or a related field.

Additional Information:

- Standard working hours: 37.5 hours per week.
- Office attendance: 12 days per week.

- Proficiency in IT systems, databases, and task management is essential. The ability to handle multiple competing priorities effectively is crucial for success in this role.
