Key Responsibilities:

  • Cost Estimation: Prepare detailed cost estimates for various stages of projects, including initial proposals and final valuations. Develop and maintain project budgets, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Contract Administration: Review and administer contracts, including negotiating terms with suppliers and subcontractors. Ensure compliance with contract specifications and resolve any disputes that arise.
  • Financial Management: Monitor project costs, track expenditures, and prepare regular financial reports. Identify potential cost overruns and recommend corrective actions to keep projects within budget.
  • Site Measurements and Valuations: Conduct site measurements and valuations to ensure accurate billing and cost assessments. Manage variations and adjustments as required, ensuring all changes are documented and appropriately priced.
  • Financial Insights and Support: Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other team members to provide financial insights and support project decision-making. Communicate effectively with clients and contractors to address any financial issues.
  • Risk Management: Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them. Assess potential impacts of changes in project scope, schedule, or design on costs and budgets.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions and documentation related to the project. Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and company policies.

Requirements:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Quantity Surveying or similar is highly desirable.
  • Experience: Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, working with an ICP or Multi-Utility Contractor is required.
