About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Operations Manager to join our team at Veolia UK. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management of our operational support staff, ensuring site capability and capacity are maximized.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver a strong operational and financial performance while maintaining high levels of customer service.
- Attend monthly operations meetings, circulate meeting actions, and ensure all are closed out in a timely manner.
- Direct and manage admin support staff.
- Provide operational support to the sales team as required.
- Manage the undertaking of CM responsibilities/delegated responsibilities during leave periods.
- Assist the Safety and Compliance Manager with the collation and review of H&S statistics across projects and input into external accreditation audits.
- Support client audits.
- Liaise with external compliance consultants regarding maintenance of KDC Integrated Management Systems and procedures.
- Engage with the Plant Manager on a daily basis to understand machine maintenance requirements.
- Undertake handovers and task delegation to cover CM's during holidays.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of all employees and those affected by our operations.
Requirements
- Experience managing and leading a successful team.
- Ability to make strong working relationships with customers.
- Previous fleet management experience.
- Previous experience working in the decommissioning/decontamination/demolition or related industries.
- CCDO Black Card Level 6 or above.
- Asbestos Awareness.
