We are proud to be working in partnership with a well-established retail and manufacturing company to recruit a Catering Manager to join their team on a full-time permanent basis.

The Role

The postholder will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the catering operations, including commercial management, cost management, and supplier management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the catering units, ensuring high standards of cleanliness and customer service.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance the profile of the catering and maximize profitability.
  • Coach and develop the team to deliver and exceed sales targets and key performance indicators (KPIs) within the required cost budget framework.
  • Manage all aspects of staffing, including recruitment, staff scheduling, day-to-day management, holiday management, training, appraisals, and performance management.
  • Communicate key performance indicator targets to the team and plan and implement actions to achieve targets set.
  • Ensure compliance with company Health & Safety policy and procedures, and ensure all team members are working in a safe and legal manner.
  • Maintain adequate stock levels through timely and effective replenishment of stock.
  • Ensure products are sold at the correct price using the correct product codes, and any additional discounts or reductions.
  • Deliver bespoke products for corporate and head office events, and catering at events such as summer fete and Christmas market.

Requirements

  • Previous catering management experience is essential.
  • Great customer service skills.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Ability to analyze, interpret, and understand data.
  • Strong planning and organizational skills.
  • L3 food hygiene certificate.
  • Will to assist in the kitchen if required.
