Job Title: Children's Team Leader

Job Summary:

The post holder will support the Quality Governance Lead to implement the quality governance and patient safety framework across The Shrewsbury and Telford Hospital NHS Trust.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate across the Trust to provide specialist advice, support, and training to all levels of staff on matters associated with quality governance and patient safety.
  • Ensure effective systems are in place to identify, report, analyse, and support the management of incidents and mortality.
  • Coordinate the management of incident reports, maintain Datix, and support with learning from death reviews.
  • Support the Director of Midwifery and Quality Governance team with the management and integration of quality governance and patient safety within the everyday business of the Trust.
  • Provide support for Quality Governance Advisors and Facilitators.
  • Take the lead in Serious Incident investigations in accordance with policy.
  • Provide reports to committees and managers as required.
  • Provide cover in the absence of the Risk Manager for Children's services.

Requirements:

The post holder will need to have excellent leadership skills to support the team to deliver high-quality care and be open to embracing positive change and transformation in order to meet the needs of the local population.

Working Arrangements:

This is a full-time post.
