Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Technical Reinsurance Specialist to join our team at The Recruiter Ltd. As a Senior Reinsurance Technical Expert, you will play a key role in generating new contract and renewal enquiries, submitting them to underwriters, and developing relationships with Underwriters, Agents, and Clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate new contract and renewal enquiries to meet client needs.
  • Submit enquiries to underwriters in the market, negotiating terms and prices as required.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with Underwriters, Agents, and Clients to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Provide technical support to the director regarding all broking requirements.
  • Research and recommend insurance products to clients, ensuring the best terms and prices.
  • Arrange complex insurance cover, preparing reports and negotiating with underwriters as needed.
  • Advise clients and agents on risk management strategies.
  • Produce and process open market slips, binding authorities, and other documentation.
  • Process entries and contracts on computer systems, including Brokasure.
  • Assist in claims handling and ensure compliance with procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform general administration tasks and maintain organized records and reports.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working with a Lloyd's broker.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of reinsurance products and services.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work in a busy environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
