Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Reinsurance Technical Specialist to join our team at The Recruiter Ltd. As a key member of our reinsurance team, you will be responsible for providing technical expertise and support to our clients and underwriters.

Key Responsibilities
  • Generate new contract and renewal enquiries, and submit them to underwriters for approval.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with underwriters, agents, and clients to ensure seamless communication and service delivery.
  • Provide technical support to the director and team members on all broking requirements.
  • Research and analyze reinsurance companies and their products to find the most suitable insurance solutions for clients.
  • Arrange specialized reinsurance cover for complex cases, preparing reports and negotiating with underwriters as required.
  • Advise clients and agents on risk management strategies and provide guidance on insurance products.
  • Produce and process open market slips, binding authorities, and other documentation as needed.
  • Process entries and contracts on computer systems, including Brokasure.
  • Assist in claims handling and ensure compliance with procedures and regulatory requirements.
  • Perform general administration tasks and maintain accurate records and reports.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 5 years' experience working with a Lloyd's broker.
  • Excellent technical knowledge of reinsurance products and services.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Proficiency in computer systems, including Brokasure.
