Finance Lead

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Lead to join our client's team. As the Finance Lead, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional financial support and analysis to our client's portfolio.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop strong relationships with the client's operational and finance teams to ensure effective execution of the commercial model while enforcing governance and compliance.
  • Produce comprehensive client reports and provide valuable financial commentary within their portfolio.
  • Collaborate with the client to compile annual budgets and quarterly forecasts, working closely with the operations and commercial teams to identify savings opportunities and meet financial targets.
  • Provide direct financial support and expertise to the account, offering added value financial commentary for regular reports.
  • Work closely with the Finance Contract Manager to implement baseline and savings tracking reporting and analysis.
  • Support the Finance Manager with ad-hoc tasks and projects as required, providing insights and financial analysis.
  • Ensure adherence to finance procedures by the operations team, taking corrective action and escalating issues where necessary.
  • Maintain compliance with policies and procedures while utilizing Excel, dashboards, Power BI, and EDP in financial reporting.
  • Foster trusted relationships with the client's finance team, liaising with Contract Support teams and actively involving people in decision-making processes.
  • Share best practices and innovative ideas, contributing to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Requirements:
  • Higher educational qualifications to 'A' level or degree (or equivalent).
  • Part qualified or newly qualified CCAB accounting qualification (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA) is desirable.
Skills:
  • Excellent PC skills, proficient in Word, Excel (including modelling), PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Highly numerate and organized, with an openness to new ways of working and challenging inefficiencies.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to build effective relationships across all levels of the client's organization.
  • Experience with complex commercial models and GMP is desirable.
Experience:
  • Proven experience working in an environment that requires delivering financial information within tight timescales.
  • Previous experience in reporting in a complex multi-country, multi-divisional service business, including financial planning and contract management.
  • Familiarity with Forex in a multi-currency environment and providing senior management with financial results and analysis.
  • Demonstrable experience working with complex financial and operational information systems and controls in a large business.
  • Focus on strong customer service and experience in a customer-facing role.

  • Self-motivated, reliable, and flexible team player who can work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing demands and priorities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with a focus on results and accuracy.
