About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Credit and Financial Risk Management Specialist to join our team at Lowell Financial Ltd. As a key member of our risk management team, you will play a critical role in identifying, assessing, and mitigating financial risks across the organization.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the development and implementation of risk management strategies and action plans to ensure the company's financial integrity and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor and report on key risk indicators and emerging risks to ensure timely identification and mitigation.
  • Contribute to the design, delivery, and monitoring of internal finance performance and financial reporting controls to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Work closely with the Finance Risk and Controls Manager to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
  • Conduct regular reviews and testing of internal controls to ensure their effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Support the governance of finance business unit data and reporting to ensure accuracy, timeliness, and quality.
  • Engage with senior stakeholders across the business to support the delivery of improvements in the financial and operating control environment.
Requirements
  • Some experience in financial risk management, internal controls, audit, or a related area.
  • Understanding of risk management principles and internal control frameworks.
  • Understanding of accounting and auditing standards.
  • Knowledge of financial software and ERP systems.
  • Skilled user of core Microsoft packages.
  • Ability to identify and address key risks/implications associated with any activities.
