We are currently seeking a motivated and ambitious Regional Sales Executive to effectively sell, manage, and enhance the business potential of Dechra Veterinary Products within a designated group of veterinary clients.

Focus Area: Northern Ireland and Northern region of the Republic of Ireland

Main Duties

What will your responsibilities include? This position encompasses a wide range of tasks, and the successful candidate will be accountable for:

  • Promoting our selection of Companion Animal Products (CAP), Equine Products, and Food Animal Production Products (FAP) to veterinary practices within the assigned sales territory.
  • Meeting sales targets while adhering to product mix, pricing, and promotional strategies.
  • Organizing a schedule of business appointments and travel to optimize productivity.
  • Executing sales campaigns effectively.
  • Building, nurturing, and sustaining relationships with clients through suitable business solutions and ethical sales practices.
  • Responding to incoming sales inquiries.
  • Conducting competitor analysis and reporting on competitor activities as necessary.
  • Participating in and presenting at customer meetings, conferences, and events to educate potential clients and promote Dechra's product offerings.

Essential Qualifications

  • Prior experience in business-to-business sales.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills.

  • A valid Irish or UK driving license.
  • A willingness to travel extensively within the designated territory, including overnight stays for sales meetings and conferences as required.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Experience in pharmaceutical sales.
  • A background or keen interest in the veterinary field.
  • Previous experience in consumer health/pharmaceutical/veterinary sales.
  • MRCVS or RVN qualification.
