About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced IT Employability Tutor to join our team at LT Selection. As an IT Employability Tutor, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality online teaching and learning sessions to adult learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver Engaging Online Sessions
    • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and innovative online teaching and learning sessions that meet the individual needs of learners.
    • Use initial assessments and evaluated work to inform teaching and learning strategies.
  • Ensure Online Safety
    • Develop and implement effective strategies to ensure online safety for learners.
    • Help learners understand potential risks and how to protect themselves and others.
  • Provide Careers Guidance
    • Provide effective Careers Information, Education, Advice, and Guidance (CIEAG) to learners.
    • Use information obtained during enrolment and induction to tailor learners' programs to their specific needs.
  • Assess and Provide Feedback
    • Conduct thorough assessments and provide constructive developmental feedback to learners.
    • Mark learners' work and provide structured verbal and written feedback on how they can improve.
  • Facilitate Learning
    • Deliver high-standard teaching and learning to ensure a quality learner experience.
    • Facilitate the development of broader work-related skills through job search sessions and integrated learning activities.
  • Record Keeping
    • Complete all relevant documentation and records related to learners' training progress and achievements.
  • Safeguarding and Wellbeing
    • Integrate safeguarding practices, British values, awareness of Prevent, equality, and diversity into the learning program.
    • Build learners' confidence, resilience, and awareness to help them maintain mental wellbeing.
  • Professional Development
    • Ensure that sectorspecific knowledge remains current and up to date.

Requirements

  • Strong ICT Skills
    • Proficient in online delivery platforms and tools.
  • Experience and Qualifications
    • Minimum of one year's experience in online tutoring.
    • Experience working with unemployed adults in an educational setting.
    • Recognised teaching qualification, such as PGCE/Cert ED or equivalent.
    • L3 Assessor Award or equivalent.
    • GCSE Grade C in English and Maths or FS Level 2.
    • IAG Level 2 or willingness to work towards obtaining it.
  • Travel and Logistics
    • Full driving license with national travel required.
