About the Role

The Sheffield College is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Work Based Learning Tutor to join our team in the Healthcare Science department. As a Work Based Learning Tutor, you will play a crucial role in shaping the future of the NHS by developing, driving, and improving the delivery of the BTEC Diploma Level 2 qualification in Healthcare Science.

You will be part of a collaborative team of NHS and College Healthcare professionals, working together to provide a high-quality teaching and learning experience for students. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Programme Development and Delivery
  • Monitoring and evaluating the quality of teaching and learning, implementing improvements where necessary.
  • Conducting regular reviews and updates of the curriculum to ensure relevance and compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Providing academic and pastoral support to students, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Facilitating career development and progression opportunities for students within the healthcare sector.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues, employers, and industry partners to enhance the learning experience and employability of students.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have a strong understanding of the healthcare science sector and be able to innovate and adapt to changing educational and industry landscapes. You will also need to have a working knowledge of Government Funded Training Programmes and an understanding of Quality Assurance Standards.
