About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Physics tutor to join our Science Team at The University of Sheffield International College. As a Physics tutor, you will teach Foundation Level Physics (Level 3) to international students in both classroom and laboratory settings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver lectures and tutorials to students
  • Mark assessments and provide constructive feedback
  • Develop and update teaching materials
  • Coordinate the Physics module and lead the teaching team
  • Perform Quality Assurance procedures
  • Create formative and summative assessments
About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • A degree in a Physical Science or Engineering or a related discipline
  • Experience of teaching Physics or a related discipline at RQF level 3 or above
  • Experience of assessment marking at a minimum of RQF level 3 or above
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure
  • Competence in teaching and administrative IT skills, using a Virtual Learning Environment (e.g. Blackboard)
