Dispute Resolution Lawyer

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Solicitor/FCILEx to join our Contract Resolution Group at Lyons Davidson Solicitors. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a personal caseload of complex and high-value contentious probate matters, including Claimant and Defendant cases.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a personal caseload of 35-50 varied and complex cases, including day-to-day client relationships;
- Proactively manage and supervise a small number of junior casehandlers;
- Develop and implement effective strategies for case management and resolution;
- Collaborate with colleagues to achieve team goals and objectives;
- Stay up-to-date with relevant laws and regulations, and apply this knowledge to case management and resolution.
Requirements:
- Fully qualified solicitor, Barrister or CILEX or equivalent experience;
- Experience of running contentious probate cases, including a good mix of acting for defendants and claimants;
- Experience of dealing with costs matters, both pre-costs proceedings and through detailed assessment;
- Collaborative approach to supervision and development of team;
- Intellectual curiosity, commerciality, and practicality;
- Ability to deal flexibly with a wide range of business partners and clients.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience of dealing with insurance-funded clients;
- Experience in business development.
