Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Hospitality Operations Manager to join our team. As a key member of our City Operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our properties, ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional experience. This includes managing a team of Hospitality Agents, developing and implementing operational processes, and analyzing market trends to optimize our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Management: Support and develop a team of Hospitality Agents, providing training, coaching, and performance feedback to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
  • Operational Excellence: Prioritize, delegate, execute, and support day-to-day tasking to ensure world-class guest experience and team accountability.
  • Guest Experience: Guide guests through the Sonder experience, ensuring they have an amazing first impression and a seamless stay.
  • Communication: Communicate cross-functionally clearly and with compassion, ensuring that all stakeholders are informed and aligned.
  • Process Improvement: Own and update standard operating procedures to support team execution and drive continuous improvement.
  • Market Analysis: Analyze market trends to optimize operations and proactively address potential guest issues.
  • Collaboration: Work with City Operations Leadership to identify new opportunities to elevate operations for both our guests and the city team.
Requirements
  • Leadership Experience: Previous experience managing direct reports, with a strong track record of driving team performance through coaching, training, and accountability.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills, with the ability to define clear action steps for team members and effectively delegate.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to take the initiative and problem-solve independently, with a focus on finding creative solutions.
  • Attention to Detail: Detail-oriented and organized, with a strong ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Adaptability: Ability to adapt and flex to shifting priorities, with a strong focus on delivering results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Technology: Proficient in using technology to manage teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Relationship-Building: Strong ability to establish positive relationships with others, with a focus on building trust and credibility.
  • Flexibility: Must have a flexible schedule and be able to work nights and weekends as business requires.
