Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Waste Management Supervisor to join our team at the City of Edinburgh Council. As a key member of our Cleansing Services team, you will be responsible for overseeing the cleansing of streets and open spaces, as well as leading and motivating a frontline workforce to deliver high-quality street cleaning services in Scotland's Capital City.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and develop Waste and Cleansing services by supporting the Management team and leading the frontline Supervision in the development of the service.
- Embed new ways of working and engage constructively with frontline employees and Trade Union colleagues.
- Ensure that priorities are delivered, standards are set and maintained in a challenging financial environment.
- Support the Management team in the development of the service and lead the frontline Supervision in the delivery of high-quality street cleaning services.
Requirements
- Experience in ensuring that priorities are delivered, standards are set and maintained in a challenging financial environment.
- Ability to lead and develop Waste and Cleansing services by supporting the Management team and leading the frontline Supervision in the development of the service.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage constructively with frontline employees and Trade Union colleagues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities and deadlines.
