About the Role

Health West Norfolk is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Service Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our administrative staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our Referral Support Service and 24hr ECG service.

Main Responsibilities

  • Provide Exceptional Customer Service
    • Timely and accurate input of referral documents to our electronic referral system
    • Precise communication with healthcare providers and patients
    • Timely and accurate communication with patients regarding appointment scheduling and referrals
  • Administrative Support
    • Use our electronic referral system, SystmOne, and EMIS to support healthcare providers and administrative staff
    • Handle referral queries from patients, healthcare providers, and other organizations
    • Maintain accurate records using spreadsheets and databases
  • Service Coordination
    • Monitor the 24hr ECG service to ensure timely interpretation and delivery of results
    • Liaise with healthcare providers and other organizations to ensure seamless service delivery
  • Professional Development
    • Participate in regular training and professional development opportunities
    • Attend staff meetings and contribute to team discussions

Requirements

  • Education and Experience
    • Good standard of education, including GCSE grade B or equivalent in English and Maths
    • Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and email systems
  • Skills and Competencies
    • Methodical and accurate
    • Ability to use own initiative and accept advice as and when appropriate
    • Good telephone manner
    • Good written and communication skills
    • IT skills to ECDL standards or equivalent
