Learning Support Assistant

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join our Education team at Aspris Children's Services. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and pastoral needs of our students.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect and analyze behavior incidents to inform support plans
- Report incidents through our incident management system
- Update individual Positive Behavior Support plans and risk assessments
- Provide pastoral support to students and staff
- Record behavior incidents and coordinate support
- Liaise with staff, parents, and students regarding behavior-related circumstances
- Plan and deliver pastoral training
- Deliver whole-school pastoral support to individual students
- Promote engagement in learning throughout the school day
Requirements
- Experience working in an SEN environment
- Training in supporting individuals with trauma and mental health issues
- Strong communication, organizational, and caring skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team
- Resilience and adaptability in a challenging environment
