Position: Application Support Specialist

Location:
Hybrid - based in Doncaster 2-3 days per week.

Join Blues Point as an Application Support Specialist, where you will provide exceptional service and technical expertise, enabling stakeholders to maximize their use of our application suite.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing application performance, ensuring security, optimizing configurations, coordinating training, maintaining documentation, facilitating ongoing product improvements, and delivering outstanding user assistance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage application performance and security while ensuring optimal configurations.
  • Drive continuous enhancements and deliver exceptional user support.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for applications, providing second-line support and maintenance.
  • Collaborate with third-party application vendors to troubleshoot support issues, monitor application availability and performance, and conduct regular review meetings.
  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities for improvement in application support.

We are looking for a candidate with prior experience in an Application Support role. Familiarity with Document Management software and/or Forms-Based software is advantageous. Knowledge of ITIL practices is also preferred.

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative individual, comfortable engaging with various stakeholders and representing Blues Point within user communities. You should be a creative problem-solver, capable of taking ownership of application projects or changes.

This position offers a competitive salary of up to £38,000, along with benefits such as a contributory pension and 25 days of holiday. Additionally, there is a dedicated training budget to support your ongoing professional development, enabling you to become the primary resource for application support.
