About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join our team at Matchtech, specializing in PCB manufacturing. Our company is a leading provider of innovative power-dense, high-integrity electronics, and we are looking for a skilled professional to contribute to our complex Agile Projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop electronic circuits, ensuring high-quality and reliability.
  • Analyze electronic circuits to identify areas for improvement and optimize performance.
  • Generate requirements for electronic systems, working closely with cross-functional teams.
  • Capture schematics and designs, utilizing industry-standard tools and techniques.
  • Provide PCB layout advice and review, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
  • Select and review components, considering factors such as cost, availability, and performance.
  • Take on varied engineering tasks to support projects and programs, demonstrating adaptability and flexibility.
  • Participate in internal and external meetings, effectively communicating technical information to stakeholders.
  • Interface with customers on technical and project issues, providing expert guidance and support.
  • Document work in line with local operating procedures, ensuring transparency and accountability.
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives, identifying areas for process enhancement and implementing changes.
Requirements
  • Minimum HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in electronics manufacturing processes and techniques.
  • Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Quick learner, with a flexible and adaptable approach to new challenges.
  • Basic knowledge of analogue and digital design, with experience in schematic capture and drawing review.
  • Circuit simulation experience, with a strong understanding of PCB layout supervision.
  • Wiring definition experience, with a focus on high-quality and reliability.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience in the Defence/Aerospace or safety-regulated environment would be advantageous.
  • Experience in the Naval/Maritime domain would be beneficial.
