Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Electronics Design Engineer to join our team at Matchtech. As a key member of our dynamic team, you will be responsible for designing and developing electronic circuits, analysing electronic circuits, and generating requirements for electronic systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop electronic circuits using industry-standard tools and techniques.
- Analyse electronic circuits to identify areas for improvement and optimisation.
- Generate requirements for electronic systems, including specifications and technical documentation.
- Capture schematics and designs using CAD software.
- Provide PCB layout advice and review to ensure high-quality designs.
- Select and review components to ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Take on varied engineering tasks to support projects and programs, including circuit simulation and wiring definition.
- Participate in internal and external meetings to discuss project progress and technical issues.
- Interface with customers on technical and project issues, providing expert advice and guidance.
- Document your work in line with local operating procedures, ensuring accurate and transparent records.
- Take an active role in Continuous Improvement, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes to enhance processes and procedures.
Requirements:
- Minimum HNC in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Proven experience in electronics design and development, with a strong understanding of electronics manufacturing processes and techniques.
- Strong collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Quick learner with a flexible and adaptable approach, able to respond to changing project requirements.
- Basic knowledge of analogue and digital design, with experience in schematic capture and drawing review.
- Circuit simulation experience, with a strong understanding of PCB layout supervision.
- Desirable: experience in the Defence / Aerospace or safety regulated environment, or experience in the Naval / Maritime domain.
