LEAD BUILDING SERVICES ENGINEER - CONSULTANCY

We are collaborating with a prominent property consultancy firm that is seeking a Lead Building Services Engineer to enhance their dynamic team, managing a diverse portfolio of properties across the South of England.

THE ROLE

Our Mechanical & Electrical division collaborates closely with Property Management and Building teams to deliver solutions that ensure optimal performance of buildings on a sustainable basis.

Handling a varied array of properties, the M&E teams engage in both new constructions and renovations, applying best practices in retrofitting.

By implementing owner and occupier-centric M&E strategies, the team aims to enhance asset value by minimizing operational costs and capital investments while ensuring high levels of occupier satisfaction.

Central to these strategies is a profound understanding of the asset and its M&E systems, coupled with ongoing and constructive communication with building occupants and owners.

An opportunity is available in the London area for a seasoned Building Services / Asset Engineer with a minimum of 10 years of practical experience post-qualification.

This exceptional role is ideal for a driven Electrical Building Services Engineer eager to leverage their technical skills within a property consultancy environment.

Annual compensation can reach up to £55,000, along with mileage and travel reimbursements, pension contributions, mobile phone provision, and additional benefits.


KEY REQUIREMENTS
  • Proven experience in building services consultancy, particularly with an M&E focus.
  • Minimum qualification of NVQ3 in building services engineering, such as Mechanical Engineering, with ten years of experience post-qualification or a recognized Engineering Degree.
  • Capability to analyze, identify, and resolve technical challenges.
  • Exceptional client-facing and communication skills (both verbal and written), with experience in presenting solutions to senior stakeholders.
  • Experience in crafting detailed technical reports for a client audience.
  • Adept at problem-solving and proposing multiple solutions, while objectively summarizing the advantages and disadvantages of each.
  • Willingness to adopt a flexible schedule that may involve travel throughout the United Kingdom.
  • Possession of a valid passport and an EU-recognized full driving license.
