Job Location: Teignmouth

Salary: Competitive salary ranging from £24,960 to £26,000 for a standard 40-hour work week, with an additional £1,896 for an average of 4 overnight shifts monthly. The overall compensation package typically falls between £26,856 and £27,896.

You will participate in a two-day orientation and shadow experienced colleagues, receiving specialized training in:

  • Attachment & Trauma Awareness,
  • PRICE (Physical Intervention) Techniques,
  • Specialized Training in ADHD & Autism,
  • Level 3 in Health and Social Care and your Care Certificate, among other valuable training opportunities.

Your professional journey begins here, with opportunities to advance to a Senior Care Support Specialist within two years, and potentially progress to a Deputy Manager role while pursuing a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management in Adult Social Care.

You will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality 24-hour support to our clients. Your work schedule will typically allow you to complete your weekly hours over 3-4 days, including an overnight stay at the residence once a week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting adults in achieving the highest quality of life, which may include support with daily activities such as shopping, cooking, personal care, recreational engagement, medication management, and providing emotional support.
  • Collaborating with internal and external teams to ensure personalized care is delivered effectively.
  • Advocating for individuals to ensure their preferences and values are respected in all aspects of their lives.
  • Supporting non-verbal or minimally verbal clients to engage actively within the community.
  • Maintaining accurate records to document progress and ensure appropriate support levels are met.

Required Skills and Attributes:

  • Patience, empathy, and resilience – Understanding that the individuals we support may have complex needs and communication challenges.
  • Strong communication abilities – Proficiency in both verbal and non-verbal communication is essential, as you will interact with diverse individuals and need to update support documentation regularly.
  • Flexibility – Willingness to stay overnight at the residence during shifts, as we provide continuous support.
