Staff Nurse A&E Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our Emergency Department team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the delivery of excellent patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Develop, implement, and evaluate programmes of care for patients, including discharge planning.
- Safeguard vulnerable adults and children, adhering to Trust and departmental policies and procedures.
- Participate in preceptorship programmes and act as a facilitator/mentor/preceptor/role model to less experienced staff.
- Educate patients and their carers on adopting a healthier lifestyle, as required.
- Complete patient documentation accurately and communicate effectively with patients, carers, and the multidisciplinary team.
- Develop and sustain your own knowledge, clinical skills, and professional awareness, in accordance with NMC requirements.
- Assist in the training and development of student nurses and healthcare assistants, and complete assessor training as required.
- Contribute to research and development programmes within the ward/department.
- Maintain a safe, clean ward environment and ensure all appropriate general risk assessments are carried out within 24 hours of admission.
- Show awareness of budgeting and exercising care and economy in the ordering and use of equipment.
