About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Referrals Officer to join our enthusiastic Referrals Team at Polaris Community. As a Referrals Officer, you will play a critical role in overseeing, processing, and actioning referrals received from Local Authorities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the Referrals Manager and Officers, Social Workers, Team Managers, and Senior Management Team to carefully match young people with Fostering Families according to their needs.
  • Work effectively within a team and independently to make decisions and use your own initiative to find creative solutions when needed.
  • Develop positive relationships with colleagues and Fostering Families through confident, responsive, and professional communication.
  • Evidence organisational and administration skills, ability to follow regulatory policies and processes, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
  • Experience of working within children's services or similar, and/or direct sales experience.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
