About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Bed Flow Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a crucial role in developing and improving our acute/urgent care services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with the patient flow team to review requests for admission across the Trust.
  • Collaborate with adult inpatient teams to identify patients who can be discharged, providing constructive challenge where necessary.
  • Contribute to the review of specific patients on a one-off basis, providing a second opinion on management where beneficial.
  • Work with the patient flow team and other clinical leads to review pathways for admission/discharge, ensuring they are clear and efficient.
  • Attend daily patient flow meetings, providing clinical oversight and prioritization for admission based on risks.
