Job Overview

We are currently seeking to enhance our team of Service and Maintenance professionals dedicated to biomass systems across the UK. We are looking for a full-time Biomass Maintenance Specialist to support our operations throughout Scotland. The compensation package will be competitive and commensurate with experience, alongside a range of benefits for the successful candidate.

The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in biomass systems and demonstrate the capability to perform service, maintenance, and repair duties on biomass boiler installations.

A thorough understanding of the Commercial Plumbing and Heating sector, particularly with the Herz Biomass Boiler range, will be advantageous; however, specific training will be provided to the successful applicant.

This role will involve travel across a broad geographical area in Scotland, necessitating a willingness to travel and occasionally stay overnight.

We anticipate that the successful candidate will have a solid background in servicing biomass boilers.

Location | Inverness Office

Working Hours | Full-Time, Permanent. 7am - 5pm, Monday to Friday

Compensation | Competitive, based on experience

Key Responsibilities

The Biomass Maintenance Specialist will be responsible for executing operational and maintenance tasks on completed biomass boiler projects throughout the UK.

  • Responding to urgent service calls for critical faults, including out-of-hours support
  • Conducting monthly ash disposal visits
  • Providing suggestions for improvements on installed systems and submitting relevant reports
  • Performing servicing and troubleshooting on biomass systems and associated mechanical and electrical services
  • Collaborating with existing site and office-based engineers
  • Completing field-based job reports in a timely manner using a tablet device

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Relevant experience in biomass systems, preferably with HERZ up to 1.5Mw
  • Prior experience in the Commercial Mechanical and Electrical Trade
  • Possession of a full and clean driving license

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with other biomass manufacturers
  • Familiarity with additional biomass systems
