Machinery Operations Specialist

Salary: £40,000

Are you a skilled Machinery Operations Specialist seeking a fulfilling role? We are looking for a dedicated individual to manage and oversee our machinery operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards and compliance with Health and Safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machinery Management: Operate and maintain all machinery to meet the required operational standards while following Health and Safety guidelines.
  • Documentation: Keep thorough records as stipulated by the Quality Assurance protocols.
  • Work Area Oversight: Supervise and maintain your designated work area, performing necessary checks and maintenance.
  • Operational Monitoring: Observe and document operational parameters, noting any irregularities and reporting them to the appropriate personnel.
  • Fire Safety Coordination: Collaborate with the fire safety team to ensure all fire-fighting equipment is monitored and maintained.
  • Maintenance Scheduling: Conduct Planned Maintenance in accordance with manufacturer specifications.
  • Interdepartmental Communication: Facilitate effective communication with other departments to ensure seamless operations.
  • Safety System Enhancement: Aid in the identification of potential hazards, perform risk assessments, and develop Safe Systems of Work (SSOW) for all operational tasks.
  • EHS Adherence: Comply with Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) procedures and report any incidents accordingly.
  • Risk Assessment Execution: Carry out and communicate risk assessments for all necessary tasks.
  • Policy Adherence: Follow all company policies and operational procedures.
  • Quality Control Participation: Engage in monitoring and quality control, evaluating and communicating risks at the operational level.

Requirements:

  • Demonstrated experience as a Machinery Operations Specialist or in a comparable position.
  • In-depth knowledge of machinery operation and maintenance practices.
  • Proficient in maintaining accurate documentation and logs.
  • Familiarity with Health and Safety regulations and procedures.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across various departments.
  • Experience in hazard identification, risk assessment, and the development of Safe Systems of Work.
  • Commitment to following EHS protocols and reporting incidents.
  • Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
