Financial Reconciliation Supervisor
Location: Hybrid working environment.
As the Financial Reconciliation Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing the comprehensive bank reconciliation activities for your assigned sector within the organization. Leading a team of Reconciliation Assistants, you will routinely assess bank reconciliations conducted across all organizational bank accounts. You will work closely with various finance departments to ensure that the bank reconciliation processes are effective and that new entities and accounts are seamlessly integrated.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the bank reconciliation operations for the designated sector within the organization.
- Facilitate process enhancements by collaborating with fellow Financial Reconciliation Supervisors and relevant teams to ensure operational efficiency.
- Assist the Head of Financial Reconciliation in upholding a strong reconciliation and control framework, and carry out follow-up and corrective actions as necessary.
- Provide assistance during internal, external, and client audits, ensuring comprehensive audit trails and documentation.
- Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and service level agreements (SLAs), develop monthly dashboards, and supply management information as required.
- Ensure adherence to accounting standards and organizational policies, providing clear documentation for external parties.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in managing a team within a high-volume processing environment.
- Professional accounting qualification or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret large data sets.
- Capacity to identify risks and escalate concerns promptly.
- A mindset geared towards continuous improvement and a proactive approach.
- Previous experience in reconciliation processes is essential.
- Familiarity with Oracle or ERP systems is advantageous.
